Heading north for winter | WordCamp Nordic & CoWorkingCamp reunion

For me WordCamps are always a good reason to travel. Meeting new people and getting to know new places. A trip to Finland for WordCamp Nordic was a great vehicle to also finally meet up with old friends I know from CoWorkingCamp in Turkey.

Even as not all plans about timeing and things to do worked out I had a great week visiting the winter up north in Finland.

3 Wapus for WordCamp Thessaloniki on a wall

Annual visit – New place | WordCamp Thessaloniki

Every year in fall I end up in Greece. Maybe because Greece was the second place on my nomad journey and I meet amazing people there. The same this year.
Mid december there was the greek WordCamp. Quite a late fall, but until there is no snow it‘s not winter ;). To support my friends, organizing the event and meet the super friendly greek community again, I travelled to the city of Thessaloniki.

So close to xmas and the related family vacation I just managed to visit for a long weekend. In my mind I was looking forward to a few warm-ish days away from german Advent.
The greek weather gods were not on my side. Cold, rainy and specialy windy conditions received me.

Metabox Podcast Interview auf dem WordCamp Retreat

Talking Nomad-Lifestyle in german Podcast

During the WordCamp Retreat in Soltau I sat down with the team of the Metabox Podcast and chatted about remote working and living as a digital nomad.

A premier for me to be part of a podcast. I had great fun talking onto the tape.
For all none-german follower the bad thing is that the interview is in german.

For everyone who want’s to listen to the episode, have fun!

Flying one way to WordCamp Europe

Flying one Way … to WordCamp Europe

The big step is done. I left Hamburg, Germany and my life as it was until now. So this is the beginning.
From now on I’ll travel to get to know new people and new places. And there is just one way to go: Forward.

Until now this trip to Sofia feels mostly like every other trip to a WordCamp or conference. I know in the back of my head, that there is no flat waiting for me to return. The flat and a lot of things inside were part of my past, what kept me from going forward. I feel very relaxed and positive about what to come.
